IMG Bolivia Guide Tincho checked in today and reported the team successfully made it to Condoriri Basecamp (15,100ft). The team spent the afternoon reviewing mountaineering skills including cramponing, ice axe arrest, and rope travel to prepare for their summit attempt of Pico Austria (17,300ft) tomorrow and Pequeno Alpamayo (17,482ft) on Friday.

October 16th, 2023–

Following an incredible day full of blue skies and a boat ride to Sun Island, the team set off today to begin their ascent towards the summit of Pequeno Alpamayo (17,482ft) and other nearby peaks. The team reached Tambo Condoriri (14,000ft) today and will enjoy a night under the stars before they head up to Condoriri Basecamp (15,100ft) tomorrow.

Today climbers enjoyed a lovely day in Bolivia! The team toured Isla del Sol looking at ruins and enjoying a meal of local foods before returning to Copacabana. Tomorrow the team will travel to Tambo Condoriri to start preparations, including packing and acclimatization hikes, for their ascent of Pequeño Alpamayo.

Tincho reported today that the team has made it to Copacabana and is doing well!
To get to Copacabana, climbers had to take a ferry from La Paz across the Tiquina Strait. Once in town, the team toured and hiked along the shores of Lake Titicaca. Tomorrow climbers will travel to Isla Del Sol, an island in Lake Titicaca, for acclimatization hikes and tours of local heritage sites.

IMG Bolivia Guide Tincho checked it and said all team members arrived to La Paz safely and enjoyed a beautiful welcome dinner last night. Today the team is on a City Tour, exploring local markets and sites. The team will look to travel and explore Copacabana tomorrow.

IMG Guide Audrey Simonson reported the team is enjoying seeing all the magnificent game in the classic Serengeti and Ngorongoro Game Parks. The team has seen majestic elephants and vibrant zebras all while enjoying the African sunset painting the savannah. The team also had the opportunity to stop at the historic Olduvai Gorge, one of the most significant paleoanthropological sites in the world. The team spent time taking in the views and visiting the local museum displaying the important ancient human artifacts found at the site.

September 27, 2023–
IMG Team celebrating their 100% successful summits (Audrey Simonson)
IMG Guide Audrey Simonson called in to let us know the team enjoyed their day by having lunch in Arusha and celebrating their 100% success rate. IMG Safari participants flew to Serengeti and will enjoy the next four days exploring viewing animals in the classic Serengeti and Ngorongoro Game Parks.

September 26th, 2023–

IMG Guide Audrey Simonson noted the team is in high spirits after summitting and spending the day today hiking out via the Mweka route to the park gate. Climbers were welcomed in the hotel with a nice warm shower and dinner before enjoying much needed rest. The team will begin their Safari trip tomorrow!
