In case anyone’s interested in what I’m up to these days, we’re heading to Sikkim today for a custom group trek. Got engaged in Sikkim many years ago and it’s been several years since our last trek there. We’ve got a large group of friends heading over with us and we’ll get out some updates when we can.
The trip starts in Delhi. We fly from there to Bagdogra, in the State of West Bengal, and then head up to Darjeeling. Darjeeling is the home of the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and is where my good friend, Nawang Gombu, lived until his passing a couple of years ago. From there, it’s into Sikkim and a couple of weeks on our trek to watch the sun rise on the East Face of Kangchenjunga.
Our good friend, Mark Ursino, is on this trek. Mark has been all over the world with IMG. And, he’s a blogger extraordinaire! Check out www.markursino.com as we go to learn more about Sikkim and what we’re up to. Should get you excited for the next IMG trek over here.
