Phil checked in via Sat phone this morning, about 7:30 a.m. our time. Everybody’s doing great – walking strong, no issues. Weather, however, is less than ideal. They’re dealing with leftovers from Cyclone Phailin that hit the east coast of India last weekend, which means a good amount of precipitation for the trekkers. The upside is the rain tends to taper off to almost nothing when the team is walking, so they’re managing to stay dry most of the time. The hope is that the worst is over and that clear skies will follow soon! All is good.
