Mt. Rainier Programs General Policies
COVID-19
IMG recommends that all participants are vaccinated prior to joining us on our domestic (lower 48) programs. If you have any Covid symptoms at the start of or during your program, including fever, shortness of breath, sore throat, or a new loss of taste or smell, please notify IMG staff immediately. Please note that due to the unpredictable nature of the Covid-19 pandemic, these policies may change. Please also note that there may other measures that we will need to take (such as masking in vehicles or in Government buildings) that are dictated by Mount Rainier National Park or other land managers.
PAYMENTS
Registration Fee: A non-refundable $500 registration fee per person is due at registration for Standard Rainier programs, payable by Visa, Master Card, Discover Card or American Express.
- Full payment is due at registration for Programs costing less than $500.
Program Fees/Balance of Fees: Payment due no later than 120 days prior to your Scheduled Rainier Arrival Date, payable by Visa, Master Card, Discover Card or American Express. Participant's bank card provided at registration will be automatically charged on the due date.
- Full payment is due at registration for Programs costing less than $500.
- Full payment of Registration Fee + Program Fee is due at registration when registering within 120 days of the Scheduled Program Arrival Date.
- Failure to pay fees on or before the due date will constitute default by Participant and result in forfeiture of registration for their Program and forfeiture of any fees paid.
CANCELLATION
IMG requires written (email) notification of cancellation. Due to advanced planning, logistics and associated costs involved in operating our programs, all fees paid to IMG are non-refundable and non-transferable without exception.
EARLY EXIT
An Early Exit/Evacuation fee of $500 will be charged to Participants needing to be escorted from the mountain before the conclusion of the program, separate from the team.
INSURANCE
Due to our no refund policy, Travel Insurance is strongly advised and should include coverage for trip cancellation/interruption and trip delay as an avenue to recoup potential financial loss, and emergency medical expenses and emergency evacuation expense. DATE CHANGE
Any request to change the Selected Program of equal or greater value and/or Scheduled Rainier Arrival Date is at IMG's sole discretion and strictly subject to program availability only during the current climbing season. A request to change the Selected Program must be made in writing at least 120 days prior to the Scheduled Rainier Arrival Date. No date changes are allowed within 120 days of the Scheduled Rainier Arrival Date. Any program change allowed will be subject to a $200 Program Change fee per person plus any increase of Program Fee arising from change to higher priced program.
AGE REQUIREMENT
Participants must be a minimum of 18 years old at registration to participate by themselves. Please contact our office if you have questions regarding participation of minors with a parent/legal guardian.
SUMMIT ATTEMPT (For Climbing Programs)
IMG does not guarantee that you will summit the mountain. Many factors contribute to the overall success of the attempt including weather, route conditions, hazards, and your own personal fitness level and abilities. These are beyond IMG's control and will not result in refund or credit.
ZERO TOLERANCE HARASSMENT POLICY
IMG does not tolerate harassment or mistreatment of our participants or employees. Inappropriate conduct under this policy may include conduct that creates a disrespectful, intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating, or offensive environment for a participant or employee. Engaging in such conduct is a violation of this policy. Violating this policy may result in removal from a program and refusal to provide services indefinitely. Please report any incidents to IMG management.
