Chris just called in from camp near the Ngorongoro Crater. This is their last night. They’ll be driving back to Arusha tomorrow, getting in some final shopping and having an early supper before their flight. Here’s what he had to say:
“During this morning’s game drive, our safari guides delivered the highlight of the three days – a pride of 10 or so lions feasting on a fresh buffalo kill! The photo isn’t zoomed in quite close enough but shows how close the Land Cruisers were able to get. We were able to maneuver close in, and got some unbelievable viewing and photos. Quite the visceral experience. Then on to Ngorongoro crater for herds of wildebeest, zebras and just about all the other residents there. It was a full day but everyone was happy to soak in as much as possible before heading home tomorrow. We toasted the climb and the safari over dinner tonight and even started pondering the next big adventure.”
