Sonam Dorje Sherpa checked in overnight to let us know the team is doing well. Today was on the cooler side with fog rolling in and out most of the day. Leaving Pheriche, above tree line and dropping down to Phortse is a great feeling. Phortse is one of the more beautiful villages that we visit during our treks. The majority of our climbing Sherpa Team lives in Phortse and our trekking team will receive a great home coming from everyone there. Tomorrow, the team will trek down to Namche where they will be picked up by a planned helicopter ride back to Lukla.
All is well in the Khumbu Valley!
