Had a great phone call from the Mera Peak Team this morning from Thagnak (14,200ft). The Team is doing very well and enjoying superb weather. They had a great acclimatization hike up to 16,200 ft today before heading back down to “rest†in Thagnak.
As luck would have it, a golf club appeared along with a few golf balls. After a hard-fought round of golf with “unforgiving†terrain, the champions of the Thagnak Open are Jimmy and Ashley. Well done!
Tomorrow, the Team will be moving up to Khare (16,400m). The weather continues to look good and the Team seems to be getting along well.
