It’s not every day we summit three teams on Mt. Rainier via three different routes, but today we did. The DC team, led by Mark Allen tagged the top first at around 6:30am. Our Fuhrer Finger team, led by Justin Merle, was second to the top at around 8:30am. The Kautz team, led by Dallas Glass, wrapped up the summit parade at about 9:00am.
All told we had 27 people on top of Mt. Rainier today. All are at Camp Muir or below on their way down the snowfield, well in route to IMG HQ.
Kudos and congratulations to all, but a big pat on the back to the guides who led the way. On the DC were IMG Guides Mark Allen, Sheldon Kerr, Charlotte Austin and Eric Remza. For the Kautz it was Dallas Glass, Erica Engle, Cedric Gamble and Nickel Wood. And out in front for the Fuhrer Finger team were Justin Merle and Aaron Mainer. Job well done.
Two more teams are on the mountain working hard, another DC team went uphill today, led by Josh McDowell, Peter Anderson, Blair Hutchinson and Luke Reilly. And we can’t forget about our Emmons team over at Camp Schurman today, led by Josh Tapp, Austin Shannon, Peter Dale and Ian Delaney.
Words can’t really describe the hard work these guides put into a day…so hopefully a little recognition of their effort goes a long way.
