IMG guide Erica Engle called on the sat phone to report that the team had a gorgeous summit today of Gokyo Ri (17,575 ft). This peak is located on the west side of the Ngozumpa glacier, which is the largest glacier in Nepal, descending from the south side of the Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang massif along the Tibet border.
The team took lots of photos from along the shores of Gokyo Lake, and also had good views from the summit of Gokyo Ri  including (east to west): Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and many smaller Khumbu peaks. The team headed down later in the day to Machermo (about 14,600 ft).
Tomorrow they descend back to Namche Bazaar and the world of cell phone, internet, and chocolate cake!
