Everest Basecamp Trek Update

The EBC trek team reached Lukla, often called the “Gateway to Everest” this afternoon (Tuesday October 29^th). They have decided to take a helicopter back to Kathmandu tomorrow where they’ll rest, pack and depart for home in the coming days.

The Gokyo Extension trekkers tagged Gokyo Ri (17,570 ft) in excellent weather today, taking in views of the Great Himalayas – Cho Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Lhotse, Makalu, Cholatse, Taweche, Kantega, Thamserku, Lobuche and Mt. Everest.
