Lobuche summits!
IMG Senior Guide, Ang Pasang, checked in from the summit of Lobuche Peak to let us know the team had a great day climbing and enjoyed beautiful weather on top. The team left High Camp just before the sun came up and made great time climbing to the summit. After enjoying the views from on top, the team descended to Base Camp to celebrate their success! Congratulations to our Lobuche Peak Team! The Team will head down to Phortse after a good night’s rest.
Our 3X3 Team took a nice hike to 5th Lake to get an up close look at Cho Oyu and the largest glacier in Nepal, the Ngozumpa glacier. Tomorrow, the team will climb Gokyo Ri to get more incredible views of the great Himalayan peaks.
Over on Ama Dablam, IMG Senior Guides, Phunuru Sherpa and Andy Polloczek, called from Camp 1 to let us know the team had a great day climbing to Camp 2 and continues to show strength and the ability to climb through technical sections on Ama Dablam. The weather was excellent and there were very few other climbers on the route which enabled the IMG Team to move efficiently up to Camp 2 where they relaxed for some time before returning to Camp 1 for another night of acclimatization. The team will be up early tomorrow morning to return to Base Camp.
Great news from Nepal!
