2019 3X3 Team at Cho La (Pasang Tshering)

Teams are on the move and enjoying beautiful weather in the Khumbu and Gokyo Valleys. Guide, Pasang Tshering, sent a nice photo of the 3X3 Team as they made their way of Cho La and are now settled in at Gokyo. The team has a nice day planned for tomorrow as they trek up the valley to 5th Lake where they will get a close up of Cho Oyu.

IMG Senior Guide, Ang Pasang, is at High Camp tonight and will head for the summit just before the sun comes up with our Lobuche Peak Team. Our team will climb for only a couple hours with headlamps before the sun rises and warms the day. The views are endless for the team as they climb up the fixed lines to the summit. Once on top, the team will be rewarded with views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Ama Dablam’s North Ridge!

IMG Senior Guide Phunuru Sherpa managed to get a few photos out from Camp 1 on Ama Dablam and to let us know “All is well.”  The team is settled into Camp 1 and they are planning on being up early and climbing towards Camp 2 by 8am.  This will be a big test for the team and a great day of climbing. The plan will be to climb to Camp 2, spending some time acclimatizing before dropping back down to Camp 1 for the night.

All is well in Nepal and looking forward to a big day of climbing tomorrow!
