Bolivia Team Moves To Tambo Condoriri

July 26, 2018

Tambo Condoriri Camp with views of the West Face of Huayna Potosi (Fabricio Gomez)

The Bolivia Team had a great visit to Lake Titicaca & Copacabana, but said goodbye early this morning and made their way to Tambo Condoriri (14,500 ft).  Tambo Condoriri is a sweet first camp.  Yes, the road continues further up the valley towards our first objective, Pequeno Alpamayo but we love stopping at Tambo for our first night in tents.  Staying just a little lower in elevation gives us an opportunity to stay healthy and continue the conservative acclimatization schedule that will help our team with the next couple climbs.  Tambo Condoriri camp is in a field with Condoriri off to our Northeast and Huayna Potosi and its West Face off to the East.  The views are nothing short of spectacular.

Tomorrow, the team will break camp, load the Llamas and head for Pequeno Alpamayo Base Camp.

Everyone is feeling great and doing well in Bolivia!
