In August we sent Greg Vernovage and Charlotte Austin to Mongolia along with some long time IMG climbers who wanted to go on IMG’s inaugural Mt. Khuiten expedition in far western Mongolia. Normally a new program like this comes with a few bumps and bruises, but we did our homework and this team had a blast!

With the first trip a resounding success, we’re happy to report that this expedition is now officially on the 2018 Calendar with dates of July 15 – 27, 2018.

While the feature of the trip is a climb of Mt. Khuiten, the feedback we received from the first team was that the climb was absolutely amazing, but the experiences (Mongolian Horse Vodka anyone?) that surround the climb make the program.

So, if you’ve got a Mt. Rainier type climbing background and a truly adventurous spirit, take a look at Mongolia next summer, you won’t be disappointed!

But wait, there’s more! I almost forgot to mention that this program also climbs Nairandal Peak which sits on the border of China, Mongolia and Russia, so if you want to knock out three countries at once, this is the trip!
