Casa de Piedra: “House of the Rock”
Quick check ins from both our Aconcagua teams. Mike’s doing well with his group. Casa de Piedra today without issues which means base camp, Plaza Argentina, tomorrow.
Luke and crew carried high today, to high camp. They’re back now, sleeping at C2. Plan is to take a well-deserved rest tomorrow. Well-deserved and smart. Forecast is in their favor. This is no time and there’s no reason to ‘push’ now. Take a full day off at C2. Eat, drink, rest, acclimate and then be ready to make the push. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday look favorable, at the moment, for a summit attempt. Again, it’s only a forecast but we’d rather have a favorable forecast than a not-so-favorable one. Time will tell but, for now, all’s good.
