The first day on Kilimanjaro starts at the Park Entrance at 6,000ft and takes the Team up to Machame Camp at 10,000ft. It is a pretty good day with altitude but feels great to stretch your legs and start trekking.
The team is quite strong and did well today. Dustin reported a few early morning clouds which kept things cool. By the time they reached camp, the mountain started coming out to give them a first look.
“Camp looks fantastic and we had a great spaghetti dinner tonight!â€Â Tomorrow, the team will leave the forest behind and head to Shira Plateau.
