Eric Simonson checked in early this morning with news that they reached the summit of Mera Peak! The Team had great weather and made good progress into High Camp on Mera and decided to keep moving up hill.
100% on top and back to Mera La for the night. We have been keeping our eye on the weather and saw that the winds might be picking up and some snow in a couple days. Eric was on Mera last year when the remnants of cyclone Hud hud came through the region and sent the team back from a summit attempt.
It has been a great trek and climb. A good night of sleep and then back down valley to catch a ride out!
