So, the crew had hoped to hop on the Grey II for the trip down Lago Grey yesterday. Best laid plans…. A big wind storm rolled in making the boat trip unsafe. Nice thing was that the wind was at their backs when they headed down the trail to the Refugio Paine Grande and jumped on the catamaran there. As one of our trekkers put it – “free trekkingâ€. Now, that’s what I call turning lemons into lemonade.
They had dinner in Puerto Natales at the Cormoran de las Rocas last night. Heading now to Punta Arenas for flights home. Next trip, led by Chris Meder, heads out 1 February.
