Loading up the plane in Kathmandu for the Lukla flight (Erica Engle)
Erica Engle called to report that the 3 Peak 3 Pass team successfully made it to Lukla (about 9320 feet) with all their luggage. That is the way we like to start a trip!! Then, they had a nice downhill trek today to Phakding (8560 feet) down in the valley on the bank of the Dudh Kosi river.
This was always one of my favorite camps. After all the stress and strain of the international travel and duffel shuffle it is great to be down by the river knowing that all you have to do now is hike!
