Subject: Sunrise in the Serengeti
After saying goodbye to some of the Kili climbers, we had a nice flight into the Serengeti with a great preview of the Ngorongoro crater from above. The afternoon game drive yesterday got things off to a great start – the list of mammals and birds we saw is far too long already. Some of the highlights were an up close visit by a lone hyena and a large herd of some 40 elephants!
This morning’s sunrise over the camp was spectacular, followed by a delicious breakfast including eggs and freshly baked bread. Now we’re out on our morning game drive and already seeing tons of animals.
