(Pat McCrann)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Up on Aconcagua \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Ty, Martin, Peter and team are at C1 and will be making their carry today to C2.<\/p>\n<p>Down on Aconcagua \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Peter, Leandro, Josh and team will be heading to Penitentes, finishing up packing and getting ready to begin their approach tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>And, way down on Vinson Massif \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Greg reports that they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re all back at the Union Glacier, waiting for flights north.\u00c2\u00a0 They\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re living large.\u00c2\u00a0 ALE, our flight service, has a great base camp facility at the Union Glacier.\u00c2\u00a0 Big, comfortable tents, tables and chairs, 3 meals a day, toilets \u00e2\u20ac\u201c pretty much everything could want.\u00c2\u00a0 And, it&#8217;s darn near impossible to beat the surroundings!<\/p>\n<p>Phil Ershler<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>January 8, 2013 Up on Aconcagua \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Ty, Martin, Peter and team are at C1 and will be making their carry today to C2.
