Denali 14000ft camp<\/p><\/div>\n

Greg and team have been making steady and careful progress.\u00c2\u00a0 They did the smart thing and took a rest day after their \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcback carry\u00e2\u20ac\u2122.\u00c2\u00a0 No reason to rush.\u00c2\u00a0 And, an extra day\/night at 14,000\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 can only help with the acclimatization process.\u00c2\u00a0 On the 6th<\/sup>, the crew did a carry up the fixed ropes which leads to the crest of the West Buttress and dumped the gear at 16,400\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, at Washburn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Thumb.\u00c2\u00a0 Then, they beat cheeks back to their camp at 14K.\u00c2\u00a0 The 7th<\/sup> is another rest day at 14K.\u00c2\u00a0 Forecast isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t ideal for the next few days, with a series of low pressure troughs approaching from the east.\u00c2\u00a0 The good news is that 14K is the absolute best place to wait out the weather.\u00c2\u00a0 The crew is right where they should be.\u00c2\u00a0 The carry up the West Buttress has been made and the cache is in.\u00c2\u00a0 Now, they wait, rest, hydrate and, when the mountain says go, they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll head for high camp.\u00c2\u00a0 Two days of reasonable weather could get them to the summit.<\/p>\n

All\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s good and they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re where they should be.<\/p>\n
