{"id":7007,"date":"2012-05-16T12:59:13","date_gmt":"2012-05-16T20:59:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/?p=7007"},"modified":"2012-05-16T13:00:07","modified_gmt":"2012-05-16T21:00:07","slug":"2012-rainier-season-in-full-swing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/2012\/05\/16\/mt-rainier\/2012-rainier-season-in-full-swing\/","title":{"rendered":"2012 Rainier Season In Full Swing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>May 16, 2012<\/p>\n<p>Another Rainier season is here and already in full swing, but not without a little prep work beforehand.<\/p>\n<p>In advance of our first climb we sent a crew up to Camp Muir to whip it into shape for the season.\u00c2\u00a0 On the to-do list was cleaning out the Gombu Hut, setting up the IMG Weatherport, carrying some loads up to The Flats and poking around on the upper mountain exploring the route. IMG Guide Erica Engle, fresh off of Mt. Bona, tore through the climbers\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 packs during the gear check, hopefully lightening their loads a little bit.\u00c2\u00a0 On Sunday, they put their training to the test and made their way up to Camp Muir in some unseasonably hot conditions.\u00c2\u00a0 On Monday ,they broke in The Flats camp at 11,000ft.
