(Photo: Phil Ershler)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Mike Hamill, Chris Meder and the team called in today from C1 to wish all their friends and family a very happy Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n<p>Best of all is that today\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a rest day after having made a hugely successful carry yesterday to the top of the 4000 linear feet of fixed rope and then up to high camp.\u00c2\u00a0 That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s huge.\u00c2\u00a0 Gear is in place and team is now enjoying a rest day in absolutely perfect weather.\u00c2\u00a0 Not a cloud in the sky.<\/p>\n<p>Now they wait until the forecast and their experience and their guts tell them it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s time to move up.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe tomorrow, maybe the next day but they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re exactly where they should be at this point in the expedition.<\/p>\n<p>All\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s as good as it gets.\u00c2\u00a0 Happy Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n<p>Phil Ershler<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>November 24, 2011 Mike Hamill, Chris Meder and the team called in today from C1 to wish all their friends and family a very happy Thanksgiving.
