{"id":5174,"date":"2011-11-04T08:48:52","date_gmt":"2011-11-04T16:48:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/?p=5174"},"modified":"2011-11-04T08:48:52","modified_gmt":"2011-11-04T16:48:52","slug":"ama-dablam-team-summits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/2011\/11\/04\/ama-dablam\/ama-dablam-team-summits\/","title":{"rendered":"Ama Dablam Team Summits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>November 4, 2011<\/p>\n<p>IMG leader Justin Merle called to report that the team had a good day today, with clear and cold weather. \u00c2\u00a0Reaching the summit were Peter, Doug, Mark, Nima Karma, and Chewang Lendu.\u00c2\u00a0 Justin and Billy turned back just short of the summit due to Billy\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s cold feet.\u00c2\u00a0 Billy got his feet warmed up on the descent and sustained no cold injury.\u00c2\u00a0 Good call, Billy!\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 On the descent the team dismantled Camp 2.7 and then Peter and the Sherpas went on down to Camp 1 with the gear and Mark continued all the way to Base Camp.\u00c2\u00a0 Justin, Doug, and Billy stopped at Camp 2 for tonight and will descend to BC tomorrow.\u00c2\u00a0 Tomorrow we have Kami, Ang Pasang, Chewang and Nima Karma heading back up to pull down the rest of the gear, and the whole team should be to Base Camp by tomorrow evening.<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-5174 gallery-columns-3 gallery-size-thumbnail'><dl class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<dt class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/AD-summit-day-2.jpg' rel=\"lightbox[5174]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/AD-summit-day-2-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"\" aria-describedby=\"gallery-1-5177\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/dt>\n\t\t\t\t<dd class='wp-caption-text gallery-caption' id='gallery-1-5177'>\n\t\t\t\tIcy slopes on the Dablam Glacier, below the summit.
