The trail is steep and rocky, and the views just keep getting better with the ascent!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Shira plateau is the remnant of an old volcanic event at about 12,000 feet. \u00a0Max Bond reports the team got to camp in time for a nice lunch, and this afternoon they will explore some of the nearby caves, taking it slow and easy.\u00a0 This is a perfect elevation for
