Spoke with Greg Vernovage last evening after the team had returned from a great summit day.\u00c2\u00a0 100% on top.\u00c2\u00a0 That makes 14 IMG customers with 4 IMG guides who have summited Vinson so far this season.\u00c2\u00a0 We couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t be happier for them.\u00c2\u00a0 And to top it off, it was pretty much a perfect weather day.\u00c2\u00a0 Now, that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s either good planning or a lot of luck.\u00c2\u00a0 Truth is that it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s probably a bit of both.\u00c2\u00a0 Regardless, results speak for themselves.<\/p>\n

Today the team heads to Vinson base camp.\u00c2\u00a0 Flights back to the Union Glacier and then on to Punta Arenas, Chile will likely be in a couple of days.\u00c2\u00a0 The tentative fly day for the IL76 is January 10th<\/sup>.\u00c2\u00a0 Who knows, maybe they get a bit more luck and get out earlier.\u00c2\u00a0 Regardless, not hard sitting either at VBC or the Union Glacier with the summit in hand.<\/p>\n

Senior Guide, Mike Hamill, is now on deck with the final IMG group for the season.\u00c2\u00a0 Mike returns to the Ice almost annually to lead a group of IMG climbers up Vinson.\u00c2\u00a0 We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll keep you posted on their progress.<\/p>\n
