climbers ready to climb"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The last two days have been great acclimatization for the team, with successive nights at 13,000 feet.\u00c2\u00a0 Yesterday they left Barranco Camp and climbed the Barranco \u00e2\u20ac\u0153wall\u00e2\u20ac\u009d which is steep trail where you need to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153use your hands\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in a couple places.\u00c2\u00a0 Then, they traversed below the Southern Glaciers to the Karanga Valley Camp at about 13,000.\u00c2\u00a0 This is one of the most spectacular parts of the climb!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today the team climbed from Karanga up to the Barafu Camp at about 15,000 feet.&nbsp; Arriving early, they had time for big lunch, and an afternoon spent resting and preparing for the climb.&nbsp; They will be leaving at about 1AM for the summit so we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll be looking forward to getting a sat phone call tomorrow that they made the top!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eric Simonson<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
