Vinson expedition is off to a great start!\u00c2\u00a0 All  arrived in Punta Arenas on time and with their luggage.\u00c2\u00a0 They had a busy day sorting and packing then flew onto the  ice on November 27<sup>th<\/sup> on schedule.\u00c2\u00a0 The team spent one night on the Union Glacier at Patriot  Hills then flew to Vinson Base on the 28<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00c2\u00a0 They carried to Camp I today (November 29) and weather  permitting will move up to Camp 1 tomorrow.\u00c2\u00a0 The weather currently is very good and the entire team is  healthy and happy.\u00c2\u00a0 Phil will try to call in more regularly as he is able and as  the team progresses up the mountain.<\/p>\n<p><em>As reported by George Dunn from the IMG office.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>November 30, 2010 Phil Ershler called in to the IMG office to report from Antarctica at 3:15pm PST (8:15 pm Antarctica time).
