We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve got updates from IMG expeditions on Kilimanjaro, Vinson and Aconcagua.\u00c2\u00a0 Let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s start with Kili…<\/p>\n
As reported earlier, everyone summited this morning in excellent conditions and returned to high camp without issue.\u00c2\u00a0 The good news continued with an afternoon update saying that everyone is down at Mweka Camp, in the lap of luxury.\u00c2\u00a0 A nice evening, good sleep and a few hours walk and this climb is in the books.\u00c2\u00a0 It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s safari time!<\/p>\n
Way down South, Austin Shannon reports they got onto the Ice about 12 hours ahead of schedule.\u00c2\u00a0 They had some great meals and a good sleep at Union Glacier, which is where the big plane, the IL76 lands.\u00c2\u00a0 Hope was to fly the 1 hour over to Vinson base camp today.\u00c2\u00a0 All\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s good WAY south.<\/p>\n
Jonathan Schrock reported in from Aconcagua.\u00c2\u00a0 Wind is the issue.\u00c2\u00a0 Skies are clear, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s cold but the issue right now is wind.\u00c2\u00a0 That said, the team\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s in the best place possible.\u00c2\u00a0 They\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve carried to high camp but aren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t AT high camp.\u00c2\u00a0 Much easier to deal with the winds at C2 rather than at C3.\u00c2\u00a0 They\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll use every day possible with the hopes they can anticipate any breaks in the wind and move into position for their shot.\u00c2\u00a0 The team receives lots of forecasts, but they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re only forecasts, no guarantees.\u00c2\u00a0 All healthy, strong and where they should be.\u00c2\u00a0 Mother nature needs to cooperate, just a little.\u00c2\u00a0 We don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t need perfect but we do need reasonable.<\/p>\n
