Nothing like an engagement on the summit of Kilimanjaro!<\/p><\/div>\n

Tye \u00e2\u20ac\u201c We are back in Washington (DC) and exhausted.\u00c2\u00a0 But I wanted to drop a quick note to let you know how amazing our expedition was, including a very special engagement at the top of Kilimanjaro!!!<\/p>\n
Everything was amazing but in particular we wanted to share our deep admiration, respect and love for Phunuru who was a spectacular guide and friend.\u00c2\u00a0 As new alpine climbers, we needed \u00e2\u20ac\u0153a little extra\u00e2\u20ac\u009d support, both physically and emotionally.\u00c2\u00a0 Phunuru went the extra mile (or miles) to make sure we were successful.\u00c2\u00a0 As we met each challenge, Phunuru knew exactly when and how to encourage us and help us.\u00c2\u00a0 I am sure that we would not have made it to the summit without Phunuru\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s infectious optimism, profound confidence in us, boundless energy, deep expertise and knowledge, and spiritual leadership.\u00c2\u00a0 The group took to calling him \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Phunuru Our Guru\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and for good reason.<\/p>\n
We are very much looking forward to the EBC trek in 2020.\u00c2\u00a0 Please let me know when you get the dates so we can start planning.\u00c2\u00a0 Several others in the group are also interested and I will be happy to try to get a critical mass on board.\u00c2\u00a0 Including (maybe) Ricky Bumbo!<\/p>\n
