IMG Guides, Robert Jantzen and Leandro Villegas, called in to report their summit of Aconcagua yesterday in pretty much great conditions.\u00c2\u00a0 Descent was slow, making for a very long and trying day but, at the end, everyone\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s safe and on their way off the mountain.\u00c2\u00a0 All guides and members will be back in Mendoza by late evening tomorrow.\u00c2\u00a0 Congrats to the team for hanging in and working together during their long descent.\u00c2\u00a0 Well done to all.<\/p>\n
Jonathan, Nickel and Martin texted just now to let me know they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve made their move to high camp.\u00c2\u00a0 Time to pack, eat, hydrate and rest.\u00c2\u00a0 Summit day on Aconcagua is TOUGH.\u00c2\u00a0 There is nothing easy about this climb.\u00c2\u00a0 Priorities are always the same \u00e2\u20ac\u201c safety, success and enjoyment \u00e2\u20ac\u201c and in that order.\u00c2\u00a0 This team has done quite well so far and we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re hoping everyone stays healthy and can handle that long summit day with the extremes of the altitude.\u00c2\u00a0 Team has positioned themselves to take a summit shot tomorrow before the forecasted increase in winds occurs.\u00c2\u00a0 Forecasts are only \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcforecasts\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 but worth taking a shot now.<\/p>\n
