Everybody has a bucket list of destinations they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d like to visit, mountains they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d like the climb, or landmarks they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d like to see. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m no different. For me, getting to Africa to climb Kilimanjaro and then spending some time on safari, was always pretty high on my list. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m not entirely sure why, but it might have something to do with my watching Mutual of Omaha\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Wild Kingdom<\/span><\/a><\/span> as a child, in the flatlands of Illinois. The world was a little bigger as an eight year old, so the idea of standing on the top of Kilimanjaro, seeing the wildebeest migration, a big cat on the prowl, or a hippo in her element was so far out of reach that I couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even dream of it.<\/p>\n The world is a lot smaller now. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s impossible to know if watching Jim Fowler had any impact on how my career unfolded, but as I type this blog post, I can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t help but get excited to lead our Feb. 19th<\/sup> Kili Climb & Safari.
