He said it was the nicest day he could remember at that camp at this time of year.\u00c2\u00a0 Remember, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s still earlier in the season and they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re camped around 10,000 ft.\u00c2\u00a0 Clear skies and no wind allows for lots of radiant heating.\u00c2\u00a0 You got to love it.<\/p>\n<p>The plan is to \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcbite the bullet\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 today and make a carry at least to the top of the fixed ropes above C1 and maybe higher.\u00c2\u00a0 Mike wants to get everything ready for the move to C2 (high camp) during this good weather.\u00c2\u00a0 Then, take a break back at C1 and when \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcsigns say yes\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, move quickly to high camp and summit.\u00c2\u00a0 That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the plan.<\/p>\n<p>Phil Ershler<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>November 30, 2016 &nbsp; The \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcgood start\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 on Vinson continues.\u00c2\u00a0 Mike called yesterday afternoon and confirmed not only had the team done well on their first carry to C1 the day before but that, yesterday, they made the move and were putting finishing touches on that camp.
