Safety and success was the message.  In Peter\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s words, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153we slayed the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcsleeping lady\u00e2\u20ac\u2122\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.  \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcSleeping lady\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 is a name used for Ixtacciuatl.  Even though the ascent from high camp wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t that long, it is a long day.  Up to the summit, back to high camp, pack, walk back to the road and then drive to Puebla.  But it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s all worthwhile with Ixta in the rear view mirror.<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"navy\"><font size=\"2\"><font face=\"Arial\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"403\" height=\"268\" align=\"middle\" alt=\"Orizaba (Photo: Mike Heritage)\" title=\"Orizaba (Photo: Mike Heritage)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mountainguides.com\/photos\/mexico\/mexico3.jpg\" \/><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"navy\"><font size=\"2\"><font face=\"Arial\">Today, the team\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s off to the town of Tlachichuca.  A nice lunch with our Mexican partners, the Reyes family, and then it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s off to the Piedre Grande refugio.  Orizaba, their next objective, will be waiting for them early Friday morning.<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"navy\"><font size=\"2\"><font face=\"Arial\">Let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s hope the good news continues.
