It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s been a good \u00e2\u20ac\u0153IMG weekend\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in Mexico and Ecuador.\u00c2\u00a0 Austin Shannon and Dallas Glass met their crew, without issue, in Mexico City on Saturday<\/span>.\u00c2\u00a0 They headed out of town this morning for their first objection \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Ixtaccihuatl.\u00c2\u00a0 Went for an acclimatization hike today above Cortez Pass and the guides report they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve got a strong team.\u00c2\u00a0 We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll take it.<\/p>\nPretty much the same word coming from our Ecuador team.\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0Luke Reilly and Romulo Cardenas pulled their crew together late Thursday<\/span> evening.\u00c2\u00a0 Friday<\/span> was a super fun walking tour of Old Town with Romulo relaying more information than you can imagine.\u00c2\u00a0 They then drove north, past the equator, to the town of Otavalo, with a lunch stop at this great \u00e2\u20ac\u02dclocals\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 spot along the highway.\u00c2\u00a0 Locro, an Ecuadorian soup of potato with cheese, is their specialty.\u00c2\u00a0 Visited the famous Otavalo market Saturday<\/span> morning and then hiked Fuya Fuya. It’s a nice first hike with an interesting little rock step at the end. The group loved it.<\/p>\nThey finished the day with a visit to the village of Peguche and visited with a local weaver friend of ours. \u00c2\u00a0Dinner was at the Hacienda Pinsaqui. \u00c2\u00a0Today\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s schedule called for a climb up Imbabura and then down to a new hacienda near the town of Cayambe. Team\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s doing great.<\/p>\n
