(Mike Hamill)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Just got a call from IMG guides Roberto Gomez and Mike Hamill.\u00c2\u00a0 The timing was perfect for a Huayna Potosi climb.\u00c2\u00a0 After climbing Pequeno Alapamayo a small storm blew in over Huayna Potosi and the team decided to hit the breaks for a day.<\/p>\n<p>This proved to be a great decision and this morning, they called in to let us know that is was a great morning to climb!\u00c2\u00a0 The Huayna Potosi climb has shown a couple of changes this season.\u00c2\u00a0 The first change is that they have decided to climb lower around the Bergschrund onto the east side of the mountain.\u00c2\u00a0 After gaining the upper mountain, instead of heading to the exposed ridge, they have chosen to climb directly up the east face to the summit.\u00c2\u00a0 It is exposed but we can protect it.<\/p>\n<p>Greg Vernovage<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 21, 2015 Just got a call from IMG guides Roberto Gomez and Mike Hamill.\u00c2\u00a0 The timing was perfect for a Huayna Potosi climb.\u00c2\u00a0 After climbing Pequeno Alapamayo a small storm blew in over Huayna Potosi and the team decided to hit the breaks for a day.
