{"id":1394,"date":"2010-09-03T07:39:16","date_gmt":"2010-09-03T15:39:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/?p=1394"},"modified":"2010-09-03T07:39:16","modified_gmt":"2010-09-03T15:39:16","slug":"cho-oyu-climbers-on-the-move-to-abc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/2010\/09\/03\/cho-oyu\/cho-oyu-climbers-on-the-move-to-abc\/","title":{"rendered":"Cho Oyu climbers on the move to ABC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>September 3, 2010<\/p>\n<p>Mike  Hamill reports by sat phone that the climbers had a good night at Interim Camp  (IC) and now they are on the way to Advanced Base Camp.\u00c2\u00a0 Everyone is doing well,  the weather remains good, \u00c2\u00a0and they expect to reach ABC later today.\u00c2\u00a0 Interim  Camp, as the name suggests, is only used for one night. \u00c2\u00a0Situated on the east  lateral moraine of the Gyabrag Glacier, it has a good water source and space for  camping.\u00c2\u00a0 In recent years the Chinese have built a rough jeep road all the way  to IC which is useful for emergency evacuation, but our climbers are walking  from Base Camp.
