Rainier is a very popular climb and our summer tends to fill up quickly&#8230; If you&#8217;re thinking about climbing in 2010 it&#8217;s best to plan ahead and get your name(s) on the roster sooner vs. later. Plus giving us some money should motivate you to start training!<\/p>\n<p>All of our Rainier climbs are different but here&#8217;s a little about our our approach to Mt. Rainier:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Client to Guide Ratio:<\/strong> 2:1<\/p>\n<p><strong>Group size:<\/strong> 12 (8 clients and 4 guides)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Food: <\/strong>Breakfast and dinner provided! And we don&#8217;t mess around either &#8211; good food equals happy and energized climbers!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"140\" width=\"335\" align=\"left\" style=\"margin-right: 10px; margin-left: 0px\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mountainguides.com\/photos\/rainier\/main6.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And for those of you looking towards climbs like Denali, Aconcagua, or Cho Oyu check out or Winter climbs on Rainier. These programs will focus on training and skill development for the serious climbers who are looking to tackle the big mountains! Rainier?<\/h3>\n<p>This is good and very popular question!<\/p>\n<p>We start guiding the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153summer season\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in late May and guide <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mountainguides.com\/rainier.shtml\">Rainier<\/a> through the end of September. That said, the conditions on the mountain change throughout the season. Below is a quick look at how it shakes out\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 Remember there are pros and cons to climbing at any time of the year!<\/p>\n<p><strong>May\/June<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is still early in the season.\u00c2\u00a0 When the weather\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s good, these are incredible months to climb Rainier.\u00c2\u00a0 The mountain is typically at its pristine best, snow covered and beautiful.\u00c2\u00a0 The route tends to be more direct and number of other climbers is lower than the peak months of July and August.<\/p>\n<p><strong>July\/August<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is the peak Rainier climbing season.\u00c2\u00a0 Though weather can prevent an ascent at any time of year, the odds of good weather are certainly the best during these months.\u00c2\u00a0 Number of other climbers is at its peak.\u00c2\u00a0 As the season progresses, the route tends to get a bit more circuitous.<\/p>\n<p><strong>September<\/strong><br \/>\nAfter Labor Day, number of climbs on Rainier diminishes.\u00c2\u00a0 That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a big selling point for September climbs.\u00c2\u00a0 Plus, potential climbers have had the summer season to get in the best shape of their lives.\u00c2\u00a0 We often get periods of very nice weather in September.\u00c2\u00a0 And, we normally don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t encounter any snow prior to Pebble Creek, at 7,200 ft., on the Muir approach.\u00c2\u00a0 The snow is typically firmer on the upper mountain.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">Tye  Chapman<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">Operations  Manager<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Ashford-WA\/International-Mountain-Guides\/61170095830\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"21\" width=\"21\" align=\"middle\" src=\"http:\/\/www.beamups.com\/BeamupsWeb\/images\/facebook-logo1.png\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 18, 2009 Earlier this week we released our 2010 Rainier climbing dates&#8230; We&#8217;ve had lots of calls already and look forward to many more!
