{"id":107,"date":"2009-08-08T07:43:12","date_gmt":"2009-08-08T15:43:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/?p=107"},"modified":"2009-08-08T07:56:48","modified_gmt":"2009-08-08T15:56:48","slug":"machu-picchu-update-from-cuzco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/2009\/08\/08\/machu-picchu\/machu-picchu-update-from-cuzco\/","title":{"rendered":"Machu Picchu Update From Cuzco"},"content":{"rendered":"<style> .hmmessage P { margin:0px; padding:0px } body.hmmessage { font-size: 10pt; font-family:Verdana } <\/style>\n<p>August 8, 2009<\/p>\n<p><em>IMG Guide Eric Remza Reports:\u00c2\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p>We are all in the Peruvian city of Cuzco at an elevation of  11,000ft.\u00c2\u00a0 Today [Aug. 7] we spent the afternoon touring many of the cultural landmarks  around the central quarter of the city.\u00c2\u00a0 Some of the highlights included  Cathedrals, ancient Inca ruins and the local Spanish inspired Colonial architecture.\u00c2\u00a0 Now we are preparing for\u00c2\u00a0 the 4 day trek on the Inca trail to Machu  Picchu.<\/p>\n<p>We have been doing our best to remain properly hydrated and well fed.
