The route to camp 1<\/p><\/div>\n

Both Eben and Josh called in today, the 19th<\/sup>, at different times.\u00c2\u00a0 Eben\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s crew had a wild night at C1.\u00c2\u00a0 BIG winds \u00e2\u20ac\u201c likely in excess of 100 kph.\u00c2\u00a0 That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s breezy.\u00c2\u00a0 They decided enough was enough and hightailed it down to BC until things calmed down.\u00c2\u00a0 When the mountain says no, you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d better listen.\u00c2\u00a0 They\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re fine, enjoying life at BC and will move right back up as soon as things calm down.\u00c2\u00a0 That will likely be on Friday, the 21st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Las Mulas<\/p><\/div>\n

Josh Tapp called in, too.\u00c2\u00a0 His crew had their first day on the trail today.\u00c2\u00a0 Papas de las Lenas is their camp tonight.\u00c2\u00a0 It takes 3 days to reach base camp.\u00c2\u00a0 The team uses mules to carry group gear so they can hike with a light pack.\u00c2\u00a0 Exercising as you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re moving to higher altitudes tends to enhance acclimatization and it truly helps \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcready\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 you for the work encountered above base.\u00c2\u00a0 They\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re doing just fine.<\/p>\n
