December 7th, 2023–<\/p>\n

Porter McMichael reports that the flight in the 757 to Union Glacier went smoothly.\u00a0 After landing they paid a quick visit to the facility, before boarding the Twin Otter ski plane for the flight back to the north to the Sentinel Range and Mt Vinson Base Camp on the Branscomb Glacier at about 78\u00b0\u00a031?\u00a0S latitude.\u00a0 After all the travel, they are finally at the mountain!<\/p>\n

They have set up a camp now, and the plan for tomorrow is to do a carry part way up to the Camp 1 site.\u00a0 Depending on how people feel, they\u2019ll be moving up there in the next couple days. So far so good from Antarctica!<\/p>\n
