Following is his report:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Carstensz Pyramid Prep day 3. Weather is clear and sunny but smoke is blowing back in. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve had a good few days of training with one day left. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll spend it climbing one of the classic Smith multi-pitch moderates. Today was Carstensz fixed line climbing clinic day. Ascender usage on steep terrain, anchor transitions, descent\/rappelling skills, etc.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 &#8211; Jonathan Schrock<\/p>\n<p>The climbing at Smith is great right now, and peak season is just about to commence. September through November is a great time to climb, after the hottest part of the summer is over and the days remain clear, sunny and perfect for rock climbing instruction.
