\nIMG has a custom Elbrus group over in Russia right now and it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s time to update family and friends on their progress.\u00c2\u00a0 Good news is that there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s nothing but good news.\u00c2\u00a0 Everyone\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s travel to Russia went smoothly and luggage arrived just like it was supposed to.\u00c2\u00a0 Airport pickups in St. Petersburg were right on schedule thanks to my old friend and partner in Russia, Igor Tsaruk.\u00c2\u00a0 Trip got off to a great start.<\/p>\nAfter a needed nights rest, the first full day was filled with touring in St. Petersburg.\u00c2\u00a0 After breakfast at the hotel, the team meets up with an English speaking tour guide and fills the day with everything possible.\u00c2\u00a0 Hermitage, St. Isaacs, Fortress of Peter and Paul, an afternoon boat tour on the Neva \u00e2\u20ac\u201c all the good stuff.\u00c2\u00a0 Next day\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s flight to Mineralnye Vody went and scheduled and we actually met up with one of our team members there.\u00c2\u00a0 It actually worked!\u00c2\u00a0 4 hours later by van and the team was having a late supper in Terskol.<\/p>\n
Yesterday was their first scheduled acclimatization hike.\u00c2\u00a0 Done.\u00c2\u00a0 Always good to stretch the legs and start letting the body know there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s some work ahead.\u00c2\u00a0 Training tomorrow up on the glacier with more acclimatization.<\/p>\n
Bottom line, with Charlotte Austin and Igor Tsaruk at the helm, the group is bound to have a good time.<\/p>\n
