\n\t\t<\/div>\n\nWe had a great trip\u00c2\u00a0to the summit of\u00c2\u00a0Mt. Washington on Saturday, December 26th. It remained clear and sunny all day long. We approached the base of the upper mountain via the Tuckerman Ravine trail. After almost two miles we connected to the Lion’s Head trail which eventually skirts around the top of Tuckerman’s Ravine and gave us great views\u00c2\u00a0looking down into\u00c2\u00a0the\u00c2\u00a0 ravine and up to the summit. Usually this time of year we are wearing crampons all the way to the top from the trail junction but on this particular day we wore tennis shoes and light jackets all the way to the summit. Lauren and Bert had done their homework and cruised up to the top of the highest mountain in New England like it was nothing. We had spectacular views for 360 degrees. After 15 minutes on top and a few pictures it was time to head down. As the afternoon went on we found a bit of ice on rocks on the lower portions of the trail that had formed as the sun\u00c2\u00a0sank on the horizon.<\/p>\n
Though we has spring like conditions the current forecast is telling us that winter is headed this way in the next couple of days. So…all I can say is sharpen your ice tools and give us a call!<\/p>\n
