{"id":10351,"date":"2013-08-18T09:39:54","date_gmt":"2013-08-18T17:39:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/?p=10351"},"modified":"2013-08-23T20:49:10","modified_gmt":"2013-08-24T04:49:10","slug":"were-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/2013\/08\/18\/img-news\/were-back\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;We&#8217;re Back!&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>August 18, 2013<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_10363\" style=\"width: 462px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Tomb-of-Russias-Unknown-Soldier-Phil-Ershler.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[10351]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10363\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10363 \" title=\"Tomb of Russia's Unknown Soldier (Phil Ershler)\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mountainguides.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Tomb-of-Russias-Unknown-Soldier-Phil-Ershler-300x225.jpg\" width=\"452\" height=\"307\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-10363\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tomb of Russia&#8217;s Unknown Soldier (Phil Ershler)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re back.\u00c2\u00a0 Actually, most of us are back.\u00c2\u00a0 A few of the team are staying in Moscow for a couple more days to enjoy, see more of the sights and unwind.\u00c2\u00a0 And, a couple of team members are doing the same in Amsterdam.\u00c2\u00a0 For the rest of us, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s back to work on Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Bitter sweet to end a trip.\u00c2\u00a0 Hard to say good-bye but we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re also anxious to get home.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a good thing \u00e2\u20ac\u201c to enjoy your adventure experiences but also to have a home life that always pulls you back.\u00c2\u00a0 And we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re often said that the end of one adventure is only the beginning of the next.<\/p>\n<p>We didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t put everyone on top but certainly a good majority of the team stood there and everyone got super high.\u00c2\u00a0 And, everyone climbed from the hut.\u00c2\u00a0 No snow cats for this team.\u00c2\u00a0 No one even suggested they wanted to ride half way up the mountain.\u00c2\u00a0 My kind of team.\u00c2\u00a0 Everyone on this climb was a total success.\u00c2\u00a0 They stayed together as a team, tool care of each other as a team and reveled in each member\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s success.\u00c2\u00a0 As a guide, I couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have asked for more.<\/p>\n<p>My special thanks for Igor Tsaruk, Sasha Sak and Romulo Cardenas.\u00c2\u00a0 Guide team extraordinaire.\u00c2\u00a0 Each played their role perfectly and made this trip fun, successful and rewarding.<\/p>\n<p>My first trip to Elbrus was in 1989 and this was likely my last.\u00c2\u00a0 We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll post 2014 dates shortly and we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll have two great IMG Senior Guides at the helm.\u00c2\u00a0 Igor and Sasha remain instrumental to our success and look forward to climbing with you next season.\u00c2\u00a0 Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t delay.\u00c2\u00a0 Both 2013 trips filled completely so don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t be left holding the bag.
