Everest Basecamp Trek – International Mountain Guides’ Himalayan Treks are operated in conjunction with our Everest Summit Expeditions. Our Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the world’s classic human powered adventures. IMG’s itinerary includes staying in tea houses between Lukla and Pheriche as well as our custom Lobuche Peak base camp before moving up to Everest Base Camp. Highlights of the EBC Trek include climbing up Kala Patthar, hiking to the base of the Khumbu Icefall and joining the Everest expedition team Puja ceremony at Base Camp.
Everest Basecamp Trek with Lobuche Extension – If you would like to visit EBC with our teams and then climb higher, bring your crampons and ice axe and add a climb of Lobuche Peak. This extension climbs to over 20,000 feet to the summit of Lobuche. After spending several nights at EBC for acclimatization, our Lobuche climbers will join the Everest climbing team to climb this beautiful peak, resulting in the best possible views of the summit of Everest. Lobuche is the perfect objective for those that are physically fit and have ice axe, crampon and glacier travel skills.
Everest Basecamp Trek with Gokyo Extension – For trekkers that wish to extend their EBC trek, we have the Gokyo Extension option. This extension adds 6 days of trekking, crossing two more high passes (Cho La and Renjo La) and visits the world famous Gokyo Valley. From the summit of Gokyo Ri, you will see Cho Oyo, Lhotse, Makalu, Lobuche and Mt. Everest!
