Camp Two on the approach
Another good day in the Vacas River valley. Team reached Casa Piedra without issue. Sunny, warm and minimal wind. Pretty much perfect weather at this altitude. Reports are of a lot of wind up high. That won’t be a consideration for many days. Team will reach base camp, Plaza Argentina, tomorrow. Everyone’s healthy and moving well. They’ll cross the Vacas River first thing tomorrow, riding on one of the mules. Nicer as the water’s a tad chilly.
We’ll do our best to post over the holiday weekend, but remember, no news is always good news. Bad news tends to travel at the speed of light. We’re sending the team the best of holiday wishes and we’ll keep updating progress when possible.
