Chris Meder called in with a blustery report from Torres del Paine National Park. No rain to really speak of but the wind knocked them around a bit today. They still made it up to the lookout rock at the high entrance to the valley, a nice spot to have lunch and get out of the wind. Knowing that tomorrow is one of the bigger days on the trail they opted to head down and rest up for the French Valley.
The first part of their day tomorrow is pretty well protected from the wind, but they’ll likely have to battle some afternoon gusts as they pull into Refugio Paine Grande on Lago Pehoe. Pretty standard for that part of the park.
